The limestone pavements of The Burren sometimes seem to go on forever, enticing you to scramble over them, even if its just to see what is over the ridge. We are so unaware of what is going on underneath, but it has a whole other world of caves, stalagmites and stalactites.
For a more immersive experience why not visit Ailwee Cave in Ballyvaughan or Doolin Caves both in Co Clare.
